September 19th Sedro Wooley Tour |
We had an enjoyable trip down Highway 9 ending up in the old downtown area of Sedro Wooley. |
We found a small Mexican restaurant up the street, |
Just down the street, the Sedro Wooley Museum housed interesting displays of the history of the area, including a couple of Model T's and other vehicles. |
A final stop at the home of Eric Thompson, who restores Model A's and has a shop |
Thanks to our Tour Director Gerry Allen for organizing the final tour of the year. |

September 7th Garage Tour |
The first stop on the tour was Dave Pollen's chicken farm in the Clayton area of Surrey - a group of nondescript metal clad barns housing thousands of chickens, plus... |
...a third 'barn' transformed into a showroom. The front half made to look like a street scene complete with 'Rosies Diner' and Texaco gas station |
The back half of the building housed Dave's car collection. He had sold some of his classic Thunderbirds and other cars but still an impressive collection. |
Unfortunately no Model A's |
Our group pose for a picture with a 100-year-old heritage barn (and encroaching condos) in the background |
The second stop on the tour was the B.C. Vintage Truck Museum in Cloverdale. |
Many of the trucks are from the old Teamster's Transportation Museum and include a wide variety of commercial trucks that have seen service in B.C. |
Thanks to Stan and Donna for organizing the tour and providing lunch back at their home. |

August 13th. Tour to Monte Robinson's farm |
Ben and Lillie provided some refreshments to get us underway |
It was a pleasant drive through the farmland until we reached the Bellingham shopping district... |
...but little traffic to contend with on Chuckanut Drive |
Dee had set out delicious food and refreshments upon our arrival, and still more after our potato plant tour. |
We had a guided tour through the Double-N Potato packing plant by our host Scott Wharton. Although being off-season and nary a potato to be seen, it was still an interesting tour. They grow and ship thousands of pounds of mainly red, yellow and white potatoes all over the US and Canada |
Thanks again to Monte and Dee for hosting this tour |
One of Monte's friends brought his modified '29 Roadster with a beautiful hand-made wood body. |

July 31st. - Ben and Gerry's Ice Cream and Pie Tour |
We had a another perfect day for a tour. After leaving Ben's place we stopped at Semiahamoo bay where the marina provided a good backdrop for a photo. The tour continued around the bay, stopping at Birch Bay park, then back to Gerry and Marge's place, where once again we enjoyed the view and especially Marge's apple pie! |

July 18th - Squamish Tour |
Great time had by all. A big thank you to Rick Poissant for hosting the group. Tour leader Simon Scott did a fantastic job planning the route and estimating our ETA at Squamish. We had a great buffet meal, got to enjoy each others company and most of all look at some interesting Model A's. The weather was perfect and everyone got home safely. |

June 21-23 Vancouver Island Tour |

The attendees gather in front the
museum for a group photo under our new banner made for us by one of Derek's co-workers.
After eating, we gathered in the meeting room where Ralph Bower displayed and related stories about some of his iconic photos taken while working as a photographer for the Vancouver Sun. From celebrities to sports heros, a highly entertaining evening. For those who missed the meeting, you can read more about Ralph's photos here |

Keith is packing wheel bearings the proper way for Matt |
Here Keith is demonstrating a simple method to measure toe-in using 6" blocks of wood and a measuring stick. Just make index marks on the stick and center of tires, roll car forward and compare at rear. |

Gary showing how to set timing with a test light and Nu-rex tool. |
The weather was uncooperative so only one car turned out, but lots of members enjoyed the demonstrations and socializing. |

May 4th. - geasing, tune-ups. |
The weather was much better this time around so we had a number of cars to work on.... |
...and lots of helping hands. |
