British Columbia and Washington State!

Please contact Gerry Allen if you have any ideas for tours. He will gladly help to organize the tours but needs your ideas.

Once decided upon, events and tours will go ahead unless there is a technical requirement – space, management, or facilities. Often, group reservations for admissions or lunch must be made in advance and are dependent on the number of attendees. In this circumstance, there will be clear requirements for advance registration. Sign-up sheets are available at monthly meetings.

If you cannot attend a meeting to sign up, please advise Gerry if you intend to join the tour.
If you must cancel for any reason, or will be late in arriving at the designated meeting place, please inform Gerry or the tour coordinator as soon as possible so we can avoid delays

April 13th: - Tech session - greasing/timing/brakes - at Al Glen's shop - 13815 90th Ave, Surrey 10:00am - 2:00pm
Pack a front wheel bearing (bring your Model A and some wheel bearing grease)
Proper toe-in adjustment
Trouble-shooting – what to do when your Model A stops on the side of the road
Pizza delivered at lunch time – Bring $5 to chip in


April 19th: 12:00 - 2:00 pm

VCCC Antique Chapter Good Friday run for pre-WWII vehicles.
This run is weather dependent.

Meet at noon at 1675 Cliveden Ave. on Annacis Island (at the far west end of the Island). This is the same location as last year and is where Totem A&T hosts the Model T driving clinic. There is lots of street parking for trailers. Please note there are no washroom facilities, however Tim Horton's is just down the road.
Leave at 12:30 for 1/2 hour drive, returning to Tim Horton's for a warm-up coffee.

We will be leaving the island on the old bridge and will make our way through Queensborough to River Road. This scenic drive continues along the Fraser River for some miles until we get to #6 road. We'll head south and eventually make our way back to the Timmy's at Cliveden and Carlton Ct. on Annacis Island. Print off these route instructions - limited extras will be available.
Traffic should be light and stop signs, traffic lights and hills are minimal.

May 12th: Mother's Day at the Glades 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. 561 - 172nd, St. Surrey

LGMAC club members should bring their Model A’s to the early time-slot – arriving about 9:30-10:00 am. for preferred parking across from the entrance. Tickets are $5 online or $7 cash at the door. June 2nd. - Annual Model A Sunday - Fort Langley BC Farm Museum. King Street, across form the Fort. 10:00 - 2:00 pm.
All re-1932 vehicles welcome. Arrive early as parking spaces on the street tend to fill up.
June 16th: Father's Day at Burnaby Village Museum 11:00 - 4:30
Great fun, bring the family. A solid half day of fun and enjoyment, free admission.

Additional information regarding time to arrive and special parking arrangements is expected to be sent out to members prior to the event. Otherwise phone the Museum at 604-297-4565 and see the link below. We will not be able to update the website.

June 21-23: - Vancouver Island Tour - A number of members have already signed up for this tour and have booked rooms at the Cedarwood Inn in Sidney. Room availability is limited so if planning to join the tour it is recommended that you book a room as soon as possible.
Meet at Tsawassen ferry terminal to board the 8:00 am ferry- reservations recommended. Contact Tour coordinator Al Glen (604-367-8987) for further information.
July 6th: - Blenheim Lodge tour

Start: 11:00 am Brunch at Boston Pizza in Ironwood Mall Richmond. 11662 Steveston Highway, Richmond (near the Massey Tunnel)
Leaving: 12:00 noon for a run including Steveston, River Road, SW Marine Drive, Pt. Grey, Jericho Beach
Arriving: 2:00 pm at Blenheim Lodge (3263 Blenheim Street, Vancouver) for refreshments and a 1-hour Show’n’Shine for the Seniors
Come and show your Model A to those who saw them brand new!

July 18th: - Tour to Squamish, including lunch with Rick Poissant.

Meet at Ambleside Beach parking lot in West Vancouver at 9:30 am.

Travel west on Marine Drive in West Vancouver from Park Royal Shopping Centre.
Drive to 13th Street traffic light, the park playing fields will be on your left.
At 13th Street there is a Shell station on the right and new construction on left and a left turn lane with advance green arrow.
Turn left at light, on 13th Street to the railway tracks.  Cross the tracks and go left into the parking area.

We will depart at about 10:00 am.

We will drive along Marine Drive, through Ambleside and Dundarave and the scenic coastline out to Horseshoe Bay.
We will then join Sea to Sky Highway north, avoiding ferry traffic.
Drive up the beautiful coastline up to Klahanie Campground.
Turn left into Klahanie at the traffic light for Shannon Falls.
Look at Rick Poissant’s barn and collection, then have lunch about 12:00 at Rick’s Kafe Klahanie (chicken,ribs, salad, ~$15pp)
We can then all go over to Shannon Falls and walk up to the falls, then together or individually, drive back to West Vancouver and home.

Option on return trip is to stop and Porteau Cove, park the cars and walk through the camp ground along the water to an inlet and a lookout. Approx. 45 minute stop. Those who wish to do this can decide on the day. I will have details.

July 31st: Note Date Change - Ben and Gerry's Ice Cream run - Blaine-Birch Bay area.
Gather at Ben Tillak's place in Blaine (9672 Terrace Ave.)

Tour leaves at 1:00pm sharp.

Spend 1:45 - 2:00 hrs cruising the back roads in Whatcom County, finishing at Gerry Allen's in Birch Bay for pie and ice cream.
Should be back on your way by 3:45ish.
Don't forget passports, NEXUS cards (if you have them) and travel medical insurance for all those accompanying you!

August 13th: Monte Robinson's Bow Valley Farm. Meet at Ben Tillak's at 9672 Terrace Ave., Blaine.

Tour leaves at 10:00 am sharp from Ben's place.

If for any reason you will be late arriving (border line-ups, etc.) please call Gerry Allen (360-920-0563) before you cross the border.

We will follow the tour leader along Chuckanut Drive to Monte's farm (8618 Ershig Road).
Monte will have a tour lined up for us and hosted lunch.

Don't forget passports, NEXUS cards (if you have them) and travel medical insurance for all those accompanying you!

August 22-26: NW Regional meet - join up with some of our members already planning to go.

September 7th: - Garage Tour and Lunch, Surrey-Langley area.

Arrive @ 9:30 AM: 
NE corner of the former "Sears" parking lot which is in "Guildford Town Centre" shopping mall.  Meet behind the Bank of Montreal building and the Chevron Gas Station at 152 St & 105 Ave, across from the Guildford Rec Centre.

Driver's meeting @ 9:45 AM
Tour leaves @ 10:00 AM

We will be visiting both an interesting private garage and the BC Vintage Truck Museum in Cloverdale (museum admission by donation).
Lunch following at Stan & Donna's.
A $5.00 PP/ donation for lunch is appreciated.
This is a rain or shine event.

September 19th: Day run down Hwy.9 to Sedro Wooley WA.

Staging at Ben Tillak's at 9672 Terrace Ave., Blaine , leaving 9:30 sharp following highway 9 to Sedro Wooley arriving around noon and having an inexpensive lunch at Coconut Kenny's on the main street.
Leaving about 1:30 for home.
Highway 9 is a great ride and the fall colors should be great. Don't forget your passports.
